Da Teachas Talk with Dr. Michael Grant of Pierce Athletic Academy
Fort Pierce Athletics Academy is under the leadership of Dr. Michael Grant who brings over 20 years of college football coaching and academic administration to FPAA. He will lead daily operations focusing on business partnerships, financial development, recruitment, Academic Student Advising programs (ASA), NCAA, NJCC, NAIA evaluations, and college placement efforts.

Prior to joining FPAA, Dr. Grant served as the Director of Enrollment at Indian River State College (IRSC) where he was responsible for leading planning, development, direction, and implementation of college-wide enrollment management programs focusing on student recruitment, customer service, and satisfaction, retention and degree completion. He also served as Executive Director of Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at Edwards Waters College where he was responsible for the planning and delivery of academic services and programs for the college’s CETL program.

He later served as the International Recruiter Coordinator for the Caribbean, Latin America, and West Africa at the University of South Florida (USF) Dr. Grant shares additional experience in college football at Division I and II levels having served as an assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, run game coordinator, special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator.

As a dedicated educator to the college-going process and having served at both public and private institutions in positions relating to enrollment, student affairs, and college athletics he brings rich experience in the area of college choice in higher education and has a keen understanding of systems used in student recruitment, development, and placement.
